We had solar panels installed a little over 2 years ago—36 panels at a cost of $68,000. We were promised they would cover 90% of our electric bill. The first year went well, but then a “Voltage Event” happened, and for the past year I’ve been fighting with the company to get our system fixed.
At one point, 17 panels were offline. After 5 months of waiting, they finally came out and fixed only 3, leaving 14 still offline. Meanwhile, I’m stuck paying a large electric bill on top of my solar loan. Every time I call, I’m told “we’re experiencing a high volume of issues and will get to it eventually.” I’ve never spoken to the same representative twice, and they refuse to escalate calls to a supervisor, saying supervisors only speak by appointment.
They occasionally schedule repair appointments, but the day before, I’ll get a non-replyable text saying the appointment has been canceled. They never call back. This entire situation has been financially and emotionally devastating for my family. I regret ever signing up.
To make it worse, they tell me I can’t cancel. According to the contract, I’m locked in and have to keep paying—even though they aren’t delivering what was promised. At this point, all I have are overpriced “roof decorations” draining our finances.
Please stay away from TriSMART Solar. I wish I had.

I’d like to leave an honest review. It started off shaky, but in the end TriSMART did get my solar panels installed properly.
It began with the survey—an engineer came out, did a drone flyover, took notes, and sent me a copy of the plans. I noticed right away that the breaker box was drawn in the wrong garage, but figured they would correct it later. Installation was delayed about a week, and when the crew finally arrived, they confirmed the breaker box was on the wrong side of the house. They had to call back to engineering for a solution before they could even start.
Once they did begin, the conditions were tough—it was over 100 degrees outside. I told the crew to take breaks to stay cool and even set up shade and a fan in the driveway. Despite that, about an hour later the lead tech said his crew had quit for the day due to the heat. They only managed to install the control box.
TriSMART called shortly after and sent a new crew the following week. This team worked through 105-degree weather until 9 p.m. to get the panels up. A few days later, another visit was needed to finish grounding wires and rods. Then I was told there was an issue with some panels, so yet another crew came out. That’s when I learned the original crew had only installed half of the required supports for the system. Thankfully, this final team corrected everything.
Eventually, I received confirmation from TriSMART that my system was fully operational, and all I needed to do was select a power company that buys back excess energy.
Would I recommend TriSMART? Yes—with the understanding that while my installation had setbacks and missteps, the company did follow through to ensure everything was done correctly. In the end, I’m satisfied that the system is installed properly and working as it should.

I had an agate fault on my system for over two weeks and called TriSMART Solar multiple times to get it fixed. It’s been more than a week and I still haven’t heard back from them. I don’t understand how a company can treat its customers this way.
Out of frustration, I sent one email to Franklin, and within 30 minutes my system was back up and running. This was after TriSMART told me there was nothing they could do remotely and that they’d have to send someone out.
