Demand Construction Review & Feedback

Company Overview

Demand Construction is a solar energy and general construction company that has expanded its presence in the renewable energy sector over the last several years. Unlike pure-play solar firms that only focus on panel installations, Demand Construction positions itself as a multi-service provider that integrates solar energy solutions with broader construction expertise.

Based in Texas, Demand Construction emphasizes affordability, craftsmanship, and customer service. The company markets itself as a reliable choice for homeowners and businesses looking not just for solar installations, but also for construction projects that can complement renewable energy systems, such as roofing upgrades or efficiency improvements.

In this review, we’ll cover the services Demand Construction offers, the pros and cons of working with the company, customer feedback from real reviews, and the states where the company currently operates.

Demand Construction provides a mix of solar and general construction services, making it different from many other solar-only installers.

  • Commercial Solar Projects – Tailored solar solutions for businesses and organizations.
  • Battery Storage – Backup power options that improve energy reliability.
  • System Monitoring – Smart tools to track solar production and system health.

  • Permitting & Paperwork – Handling all applications, approvals, and interconnection.

This broad-service offering is an advantage for customers who need more than just panels, especially if their roof requires upgrades before installation.

Final Thoughts

This Demand Construction review shows that the company brings a unique value proposition to the solar market by combining solar installation with roofing and construction services.

Strengths: Comprehensive service offerings, roofing expertise, professional installation crews, and flexible financing. Customers appreciate the convenience of working with one company for both solar and roof upgrades.

Weaknesses: Regional availability, project delays, and mixed communication reviews appear in customer feedback. As a mid-sized provider, Demand Construction lacks the scale and brand recognition of national competitors.

Best For: Homeowners in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana who need solar installation plus roofing or construction services under one provider.

Caution For: Customers who prioritize nationwide support or the fastest installation timelines may want to compare other providers before making a decision.

In summary: Demand Construction is a solid regional solar company that stands out for its dual expertise in roofing and solar. For customers in its service areas, the ability to handle both construction and renewable energy projects makes it a convenient and practical option.

If you want a solar company that does any of the following:
    – Communicates with you in a timely manner
    – Performs the installation on time
    – Shows up when people are supposed to as scheduled
    – Gets through permitting in a reasonable time
    – Answers support questions and resolves them when you call them
    – Cares about your service and investment in your Solar project

Then do NOT choose Demand Construction. I’m almost 1 year (shy a few weeks) into my project, and it’s been nothing but a nightmare from the get go. They’re great in the sales process, then things fall apart quickly, almost immediately. My issues span the gamut from being out of stock materials, delayed deliveries, delayed installation, permit process that had 5+ revisions because they don’t know what they’re doing, not having A VALID BUSINESS PERMIT to perform the project in my area, not following up when they say they will, delayed inspections once again because of their plans not being accurate and having to be revised multiple times, and on and on.

Their outsourced installers were the only positive sign of service in my entire experience so far, and while I believe my system was up and running around the 345 day mark, I can’t get them to help me figure out how to monitor my system at all despite me asking multiple times.

I’ve even escalated to their executives and President and not 1 person gives a damn about their customers. I also had a friend in my neighborhood go with another solar company a few weeks after me, and he was live and running with zero issues in about 6-7 weeks. (smack forehead)

Do yourself a favor and cross these guys off your list no matter what, I wish I went with another company but I had signed my contract before the trainwreck started.

I started working with Demand Construction in spring 2025 to install a 33-panel REC solar system with a Tesla Powerwall, and from the very beginning, communication was poor. Once the contract was signed, my sales rep disappeared, and nobody stepped in to provide consistent updates or guidance.

After more than six months of waiting, I was finally told in August—while the project was still stuck in permitting—that the REC panels listed in my contract weren’t even available because of a “nationwide shortage.” This was the first time they mentioned it, despite having had months to address the issue. By then, I had wasted valuable time with no system, no options, and no confidence in their ability to deliver.

It’s completely unacceptable that Demand moved me through contracts, financing, and permitting without ever securing the equipment. Instead of proactive project management, I was left constantly chasing updates and answers.

In the end, the project and loan had to be voided due to this major breach. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Demand Construction. If you’re looking at solar, make sure the installer has the equipment on hand before moving forward. My time with Demand was unprofessional, frustrating, and ultimately a waste.

My experience with Demand Construction’s solar installation was excellent! Pablo walked me through the process step by step, and the crew was on time, professional, and left everything spotless. I was pleasantly surprised when my first electric bill came in at almost half of what I expected. If you’re looking for a smooth, stress-free switch to solar, this is definitely the company to go with!

Avoid Demand at all costs if you want to save yourself endless frustration. When I first spoke with salesman Jonathan Seber, I asked about the negative Yelp reviews I had seen for National Energy Services (same company, just rebranded as Demand). His reply was, “every company is going to have some bad reviews.” I should have trusted my instincts right then and gone with a different company. Instead, the entire process with Demand has been nothing but delays, excuses, poor workmanship, and damage to my roof.

Demand Construction used Eletech as a subcontractor, and their sloppy work created major setbacks. What should have been a quick installation dragged on for nearly six months before I finally got permission to operate (PTO).

The problems started immediately. My first scheduled installation was canceled the night before. Two weeks later, they finally showed up but only worked for a few hours. In that short time, they managed to install flashing incorrectly—including upside down—bent shingles, and drilled unnecessary holes in my roof where they missed rafters. Then they didn’t return for another week. I had to contact Demand with drone photos of the poor work, and only then did they have the crew redo it properly.

From the time they started to when they claimed the job was “finished,” two weeks had passed—yet installing 31 panels and 2 Powerwall 3s should have taken just a couple of days. To make matters worse, the installer told me disconnects weren’t necessary, even though the original engineering drawings clearly showed them. Later, Centerpoint refused PTO without the disconnects, meaning another two months went by before Eletech came back to add them. Shockingly, they used old, secondhand disconnect boxes for my brand-new system.

After more complaints, another two months passed before they replaced the used boxes with new ones—though by then my system had been left unsafe, with open punchouts, for three months. During that same visit, they also failed to reinstall two bolts on my Powerwall cover and even took them with them. Despite asking for replacements for over five months, I still haven’t received them.

Eventually, I did get PTO, but only after another month-long delay when Centerpoint requested information plates for the system—something that should have been handled in the first place. Once installed, I was finally able to sell electricity, but the process had been dragged out an unnecessary five months longer than it should have.

To this day, I still haven’t received official documentation or warranty paperwork confirming the date my install was completed. The installation also wasn’t done according to the original engineering plan—my Powerwalls were installed in the garage, even though the drawings placed them outside. I’ve asked repeatedly for updated wiring and equipment diagrams, but all I get is, “we’re working on it.”

While I do now have a functioning solar system, the entire experience was extremely frustrating. Between Demand and their subcontractor Eletech, I cannot recommend either company. With all the extra holes they put in my roof and the repeated mistakes, I can only hope I don’t face bigger problems in the future.

I signed with Demand Construction in April to install a solar system for my home. The sales process was smooth and straightforward, and while the permitting stage took some extra time, I did receive periodic updates from the project manager. Now my system is fully installed, activated by LADWP, and working great. I’d recommend them, and when I’m ready to add a battery, I’ll be going back to Demand.

Going with Demand Construction for my solar installation turned out to be a great decision. They provided excellent value, kept communication clear, and finished the job on schedule. My system is running smoothly, and I’m already noticing the savings. A dependable company for anyone looking for quality solar work.

After losing my job a few months ago, cutting expenses became very important. Demand Construction really stepped up—not only did they install solar panels, but they also helped me feel back in control. Jessica worked with me to create a low upfront cost plan without any pressure. Now, each month I watch my bill go down and feel grateful I made this decision. For me, it’s more than just solar—it’s peace of mind. Thank you for making me feel like a valued customer, not just another number.
